I used to use phone cards myself don’t get me wrong. I have tried many of them. In fact I used to sell phone cards for over a year, and believe me complaints from my phone card customers were coming from all over the place!

I was actually jumping from one phone card to another just to find the best phone card that will fit my calling pattern. I have tried phone cards in almost all denominations available as well and at some point I decided that the $5 denomination works best for me and still believe that if you are a phone card user you should only buy a $5 phone card. If you get screwed, at least you can only lose up to $5 bucks. I have been ripped off many times using phone cards and I will never use them again.
